I am going to share a bit about Us for those who are coming to us via freinds of freinds, My Sons are I are very close, I love them beyond description. The boys have been healthy their whole lives,

About 14 months ago My son started getting pain in his left leg- since he is at the age where boys start hitting their growth spurts the doctor thought it was shifting of the growth plates "growing pains" so we iced and heat packed and elevated and soaked it and it got progressively worse



Around December of last year his doctor referred us to an orthopedist, the earliest appointment was late February, God stepped in and decided that his leg could wait no longer...Jorel Slipped and fell on a patch of Ice on February 7



Thinking the leg was broken we went to the emergency room, when they x-rayed his leg they told me that a specialist was coming to speak to me, that the x-ray looked "unusual" I thought it would be an orthopedist... It was an oncologist.

he proceeded to show me the tumor and arranged for us to be transported to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. Where he underwent 2 and a half months of testing... They ruled out cancer and I was relieved, we were then refereed to Infectious disease and other services



However the other medical departments found nothing

infectious disease ruled out infection, hematology, rheumatology ruled out their diseases, endocrinology, orthopedics... all of them knew something was wrong yet they couldn't figure it out



Frustrated I took my son to his primary doctor who referred me to a orthopedic diagnostician at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. He has worked tirelessly for the last 7 weeks to find the answer, he also told me the test from Columbia were inconclusive, and they DID NOT RULE OUT CANCER. after the first biopsy at Montefiore, the 3rd on in all, he found that the bone tissue where they took the sample was necrotic, dead from lack of blood flow, he performed other test in the meantime and including a PET scan which showed other areas affected, areas That were not affected when he was scanned at Columbia in February... He recommended another biopsy Just above the dead bone tissue He took a much larger sample That was June 7, June 9th he had a result, after 4 months of seeking answers we were told that Jorel has Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. which is not uncommon by itself what is uncommon is that it is attacking his bones, out of 100, 000 cases of Diffuse large B-cell Lymphoma only 7 cases out of that 100, 00 are cases where the bone is attacked, in the four months since we began looking for the answers it progressed from a stage one cancer localized in his leg to a stage 3 with tumors in his 11th rib, the base of his skull, and his right hip."

I've Became Very Fond Of Jor'el & His Story..
"YOU MUST ALL KNOW THAT THIS IS SO IMPORTANT 2 ME, "WHY IS IT DELA?" BECUASE IM AWARE OF HOW THIS FEELS, & I UNDERSTAND HOW A PARENT SLEEP IN HOSPITALS ON A LAZY BOY THAT ONLY FLIPS BACK HALF WAY & IS SUPER UNCOZY, BUT AS PARENTS THEY WILL STAND THERE WITH THEY CHILD IF THEY HAD TOO.. MY DAD WAS IN HOSPITALS WITH ME MONTHS @ A TIME, i WAS IN HOSPITALS FOR OVER A YEAR BEFORE.. NO GOING HOME NONE, MAD @ POPS KUZ IM FRUSTRATED AND HE DOING IS HIS VERY BEST 2 MAKE ME THE MOST COMFORTABLE, TRYING TO PLEASE ME DURING MY STAYS.. SO NOW THAT IM OLDER, I THINK ABOUT THOSE DAYS... MY POPS RAISED ME 2 BE A CHAMP.. SO I WEAR ALL THE BELTS LIKE IRON MIKE TYSON & ROY JONES JR DID WHEN THEY HAD EM ALL, 1 AROUND MY NECK, 2 AROUND MY WAISTE & 2 ACROSS MY CHEST.. i AINT PERFECT BUT NO 1 IS, BUT I HAVE A HEART & I SHOW COMPASSION WHEN SOMETHING TOUCHES ME.. JOR'EL'S STORY TOUCHED HOME & BRUNG BACK MEMORIES.. HIS MOM SAYING "HE MAD @ HER KUZ HE CANT GO 2 A POKEMON TOUNAMENT" & THINGS LIKE THAT, BUT ThePerfect Storm WHEN HE'S BETTER, HE'LL FORGIVE YOU FOR THAT BECAUSE HE KNOW WHO WAS THERE WITH HIM THRU OUT ALL THIS. WE CANBE OBNOXIOUS & HATEFUL AS PATIENTS BUT WE APOLOGIZE ONCE WE ARE ALL BETTER!! I PROMISE YOU THAT I DID... I WAS SHOT AT 3 YRS OLD (Shot @ 3) True Story & I HAVE CAME A LONG WAY...JOR'EL HAS A LONG ROAD AHEAD OF HIM, BUT AS LONG AS WE SHOW EM LOVE & SUPPORT HE AINT GONE WANNA GO NO WHERE, I KNO I DIDNT! PLUS HIM & HIS LIL BROTHER GOT MAAD SUITS 2 TRY ON @ THE CRIB.. REMEMBER THE SLOGAN..
